Field For The ACC Tournament Now Set

After victories by N.C. State and Wake Forest on the final day of the regular season, the field for this week’s ACC Tournament is now officially set.

The opening game on Thursday will be at noon, when Boston College faces Virginia. The winner takes on top-seeded Duke on Friday. At 2:30 on Thursday, Wake Forest goes against Miami, with the winner facing Virginia Tech.

UNC will play Georgia Tech on Thursday night at 7 P.M. This marks the first time ever that UNC has been involved in a Thursday game in the ACC Tournament, dating back to when the league introduced the play-in game in 1992. The winner meets second-seeded Maryland.

The nightcap on Thursday will have Clemson going against N.C. State, with the winner getting Florida State. All eleven games of the ACC Tournament can be heard right here on WCHL starting Thursday morning at 11.
