Each week, WCHL's Adopt-a-Pet highlights a pet from a local pet organization on the WCHL Morning News with Ron Stutts. Tune in every Tuesday at 8:40 am as Ron meets a new furry friend and, hopefully, you may decide to adopt the furry friend yourself!
On Tuesday, August 3 Gilligan came to visit Ron from Paws4Ever. Gilligan is an adorable three-month old lab mix with so much personality and love. Both Gilligan's sisters have been adopted, and now it's his turn. Go meet him at Paws4Ever!
On Tuesday, July 27 Felix came to visit Ron in the studio. Felix is a cow kitty in every sense - he is black and white and 19 lbs! He is very sweet and extremely adventurous. Go meet Felix at Independent Animal Rescue!
On Tuesday, July 13 Buddy from Carolina Care Bullies came to visit Walter Storholt in studio. Buddy is AWESOME! He is an ambassador for his breed- he loves everyone and everyone loves him! Go meet him at Carolina Care Bullies!
On Tuesday, July 6 Racquel Bo Simone came in to explore the studio with Ron! She is a beautiful two-year old cat who would love to be adopted with her sister, Sara Lynn Tucker. Go meet Racquel and Sara at Independent Animal Rescue.
On June 29, Harry and Potter came to the WCHL offices. Potter was a little shy and didn't want to go into the studio... but, Harry went right in and stole the show from Ron. There are a lot of kittens right now, so if you are looking to adopt a new pet please visit these guys at the Orange County Animal Shelter.
On June 22, Elvira and Acorn came to visit Ron from Paws4Ever. These little kittens have big personalities! Elvira is the adventurous one and Acorn has a motor of a purr. Go meet them and a dozen other kittens at Paws4Ever.
On June 15, Huck and Becky - two of the most beautiful and sweet kittens came to the WCHL Office to help their foster mom record a PSA. They were rescued from a shelter and are being fostered by the Independent Animal Rescue. You will love Huck and Becky - we did!
On June 8, Minnie and Babs came to visit Ron in the studio. Minnie is an eight week old silver tabby and Babs is an eight week old brown tabby. They are adorable and are available at the Orange County Animal Shelter. Go meet them!
On May 25th, Tina Louise visited. At only FOUR pounds, Tina Louise is fully grown. Everything about her is miniature except her purr. A born snuggler, she is happiest when she is in your lap, by your computer keyboard, or asleep on your shoulder. This dainty beauty was pulled from one of North Carolina's worst pounds within hours of being killed. Please consider being part of her happy story. On May 11, there was a hound in the studio! Bismark is a great looking hound (we think he might be a Plott mix) with a very sweet personality! He was a little shy at first, but just brightened up and gave lots of affection once he was sure Ron was an ok guy! Go meet Bismark at Paws4Ever.
On May 4, Dancer came to visit Ron in studio. Dancer is a smart and obedient female german shepard mix with lots and lots of love! Dancer is being fostered by the Independent Animal Rescue. Go meet Dancer and take her home!
On April 20, Mr. Pip came to visit us from Paws4Ever. Mr. Pip has had a hard two-years of life - but now, he is the most laid back cat you will ever meet! Mr. Pip deserves a great home with loving people to call his own. You will fall in love with him when you go meet him at Paws4Ever.
On April 13, Matthau(Matty to his friends) came to visit Ron in the studio. Matty is such a great boy - he is nine years old and has a purr so loud you could almost hear it on the air. Matty has a foster home with Independent Animal Rescue, but would really love to have a forever home. Go meet Matty - you will love him!!
On April 6, Sarah didn't even make it into the studio before being scooped up by Walter Storholt! Sarah is a terrier mix and have a personality that lights up the room. Go meet her at the Orange County Shelter on Eubanks Road.
On March 30, Burrito came to visit Ron Stutts from Paws4Ever. Burrito is a handsome little guy with so much personality- you have to meet him. Burrito is full of love! Go meet him at Paws4Ever!
On March 9, Socks came to visit Ron Stutts from Paws4Ever. Socks is a very happy, affectionate boy who is outgoing and good natured. Socks adjusts to home life quickly and is ready to find that home! Socks gets along with other cats and dogs. Socks is a three year old long-haired black and white cat. Go meet him at Paws4Ever.
On March 2, Garnett took over the mic from Ron Stutts, just look at the picture of him! Garnett is a great cat that is very outgoing and not scared of anything. He is being fostered by Independent Animal Rescue and his foster mom told our listeners that he just decided he didn't want to live out in the woods anymore and walked up to a volunteer who was caring for a feral cat colony. He is a super cool cat - You need to meet Garnett!
On February 23, Ron Stutts was joined in studio by Trooper a very loving, very curious black and white cat. Trooper felt right at home in the studio with Ron. Trooper is at the Orange County Shelter - go meet him and take him home with you!!
On February 9, Ron Stutts was joined in studio by the adorable brother and sister kittens, Alice and Emmett. They would love to be adopted together! Please contact the Independent Animal Rescue for more information about these Twilight cats! For more pictures, click here!
On January 26, Ron Stutts and the rest of the WCHL gang met two adorable beagle & hound mix puppies, Peppermint and Patty. These beautiful girls have got it all! Peppermint is a love - and is a little more calm than her playful sister - Patty. Please go visit these pups at Paws4Ever!
On January 19, Ron Stutts met one of the greatest dogs to come to our studios yet! Frankie is the sweetest boy you could ever meet. He even gave the WCHL staff the happy dog roll on the floor! We all loved Frankie and so will you. Frankie is being fostered with the Independent Animal Rescue.
On January 5, Ron Stutts was joined in studio by two of the coolest kittens - Cumberbun and Chipmunk. Cumberbun is a medium hair black and white boy and Chipmunk is a calico - tabby mix. They are both full of personality and love!! Go see them at Paws4Ever.
On December 29, John Stillman was joined in studio by Big Man. Despite his rough and tumble appearance, Big Man is one of the nicest cats you will meet. He is not a big cat, but has a classic big, Tom Cat head. He seems to know how lucky he is to be an indoor cat after living a hard life on the streets. Big Man loves to be near people and will lay on your lap while you watch TV. He is a quiet, low-key cat and loves to snooze in the sun in a warm spot on the floor. Please give this wonderful boy a a forever home!
On December 8, Ron was joined in studio by Cleo. She is a beautiful tabby with gorgeous green eyes. Her personality is just as striking. She is affectionate, playful and very social.
