SideDish
08/26/09 11:34AM

Listen now to SideDish, hosted by A Southern Season’s Deborah Miller and Jay White. SideDish offers an insider’s perspective into the world of food, wine and all things house and home.

Shows rotate weekly between:

  • Well-Seasoned Pantry – An A-Z of culinary adventures featuring all you need to know about ingredients, including their history, myths and mystiques surrounding them, how to use them and store them … maybe even share a favorite recipe.
  • Taste of the Triangle – Gets up-close and personal with area chefs as they tell all about their restaurants, what got them started, what keeps them going. Deborah and Jay get the dish on what’s in their fridge and what they eat at four in the morning. Mix in local experts from farmers to food writers and sous chefs to artisanal cheese makers as they share their passion with us and with listeners.
  • Wine with Everything for Everyone – Intimidated by that sommelier standing by your table or afraid to even try to pronounce Gewürtztraminer? Learn from the experts as we plumb the depths of everyone’s favorite subject with topics such as “what do you serve with that holiday bird?” and “what’s all this fuss about bio-dynamic wine?”
  • Everything But the Kitchen Sink – Cookware, gadgets and gizmos, oh my! If it’s associated with the enjoyment of preparing and sharing food and wine, we’re all over it. Send us your culinary conundrums and we’ll solve it together.

SideDish airs exclusively on WCHL every Sunday at 11:00am with a repeat on the following Saturday at 11:00am as well.
