Carrboro Man In Stable Condition After Fire
03/11/10 02:55PM

A fire at the Laurel Springs Subdivision has left a man with burns on over 75% of his body.

Captain Mike Freeman of the Carrboro Fire Department says the blaze took place at 8800 Oxford Court last night just before 9:00 PM Wednesday night.

The victim was identified as Kim Anderson, who suffered second-and-third degree burns on over 75% of his body. This morning, Anderson was listed in stable condition at the UNC Jaycee Burn Center.

Freeman says investigators believe the fire was caused by unattended cooking materials.

The flames quickly spread across the home.

The other two people inside the apartment escaped without injuries.
