The Biscuit Brief with Dewey Burke

Dewey Burke wore #15 for UNC for two seasons, and graduated in 2007. Originally from Philadelphia, Burke's nickname is "Biscuits" for his propensity to put the team over the 100 point mark. He will contribute his insights, through interviews with WCHL Sports Director Matt Stradley, on this year's Carolina team before each game which will be featured on WCHL's "Countdown to Tipoff" as well as here in his audio blog.

Dewey is currently working on two projects. One is a basketball training company in Pennsylvania. (www.DBcamps.com and www.skyhighbasketball.com). The other is an after-school tutoring firm that specializes in servicing students from low-income families. It is a government funded initiative that uses college students as tutors to help young people with Math, Reading and Mentoring. They operate in Winston Salem, Greensboro, and Charlotte. It’s called the Empowering Youth through Education Program (EYE Program), and are in the second year of the project. The website is www.eyepartners.org.
